Algoma Ablaze
Photographing Fall in the land of Grey Owl
with
Rob Stimpson
September 22 to 25, 2011

Our travels and
journeys take
us to places we may never visit again. On
these trips we all want to document where we have been and for the most
part capture a sense of place. The camera then becomes our voice
through the visual interpretation of the landscape.
Algoma's brilliant autumn
colours, famous throughout the world, are the focus of this weekend
workshop. We will explore Algoma's breathtakingly scenic Missisagi
River Valley with our
cameras, creating images that become your own personal
interpretation of the season and the place. The Mississagi
River was beloved by Grey Owl; Tom Thomson paddled the river with him
in 1912, spending time at spectacular Aubrey Falls - one of many
possible subjects for this workshop. Follow in their footsteps with
award
winning photographer Rob Stimpson for a creative weekend
focusing on the dynamics of good image making.
This workshop will appeal to
those who have the photographic basics. |
